Four ways to share… food, finance and stories
Writing for a newspaper is an opportunity to share interests, knowledge and experiences. So, before getting into the subjects I’ll be exploring in my articles, I’d like to explain what readers can expect from this section.

The idea is simple: to offer different content each week, in a varied format that lets us explore three worlds which, although they may seem different, have something in common: the curiosity to learn, discover new things and share them with others.
Food will take centre stage. After several years of training in different areas of gastronomy, during which I have explored culinary techniques, ingredients and different approaches to cooking, as well as taking part in community cooking initiatives, I feel it would be wrong not to devote some space to it. There will be tips and content on making better use of ingredients and avoiding food waste, reflections on culinary techniques, recommendations and gastronomic discoveries. There will also be a chance to get to know chefs from our area, talk to culinary professionals and discover landmark restaurants that form part of our food identity.
Another week will be devoted to recipes. There will be ideas for all tastes and skill levels, from traditional dishes that are part of our culinary heritage to contemporary creations and recipes from other cultures. Because cooking is not just about following instructions: it is also about experimenting, sharing and enjoying yourself.
Personal finance will have its place too. After so many years in the banking sector and in management roles, I’d like to put that experience to use for readers. The aim is to address clearly and simply the questions that can arise in everyday life: mortgages, personal loans, cards, banking products and other financial matters that often concern us, but which we do not always know how to deal with. This will be a practical guide to help us better understand our financial decisions and the points to consider before making them.
And there will be a fourth strand dedicated to literature. Writing has been another of my great interests. I have entered various short-story competitions, including radio story competitions, in which I was a finalist three times, taking second place once and third place twice. I am also the author of “¡TÚ! Desde Rusia... y sin amor”, an unpublished crime thriller that has been entered in several competitions and audiovisual projects. This creative side will feature in the section through short stories that readers will find from time to time. The themes will vary: comedy, suspense, fantasy or any other story worth telling. The aim will be to offer a brief break from routine, spark the imagination and, why not, raise a smile or leave a question hanging in the air.
These four strands are not intended to be rigid compartments or to follow a fixed order. The aim is to publish something each week, with varied, accessible and useful content, alternating practical learning with entertainment and creativity.
Ultimately, I’d like this to be a meeting place for readers: somewhere we can learn something new about cooking, get an answer to a financial question, discover an interesting restaurant or simply enjoy a good story.
There are many ways to share what you know, what you enjoy and what inspires you. This is mine. And I hope you’ll find reasons to come back each week.
