On this day two years ago: agreement for the 2025 Spanish Schools Championship
The FACV and Hotel Playas de Guardamar reached an agreement for the 2025 Spanish Schools Championship.
Reports from 2024 say that the Valencian Community Chess Federation (FACV) and Hotel Playas de Guardamar reached an agreement relating to the 2025 Spanish Schools Championship. A handshake, so to speak — the reports do not go into such details — with the following year’s schools event in mind.
The news was reported on 24 October that year by the Valencian Community Chess Federation itself. Today marks two years since that announcement, whose headline named the people involved and the championship it concerned. Who would have thought it? A date in the 2025 schools chess calendar was also linked to the name of Guardamar.
