Attention, Guardamar’s Class of ’77! The half-century milestone is approaching and it’s time to celebrate

Under the tongue-in-cheek slogan “Vaccinated against reggaeton”, the Class of ’77 is starting to plan a very special year for everyone who will reach the half-century mark in 2027.

The nostalgic programme, full of music and good humour, includes various get-togethers throughout the year, with activities designed to bring back memories of the childhood and youth of a whole generation.

According to the poster, the planned programme includes a Sesame Street-themed meal on 6 February, a spring meal with ‘remember’ music on 10 April, a trip to Granada on 22 May and a meal during the Fiestas del Campo on 10 September.

A Christmas meal is also planned for December, although the date is yet to be set.

The initiative brings back memories of a generation that grew up with cassette tapes, afternoons playing in the street, children’s television programmes and the big musical hits of the 1980s and 1990s.

More information coming soon

It is important to spread the word about this initiative so that all residents born in 1977 can stay informed and keep an eye out for further updates.

More information about the activities, organisation and how to take part will be shared in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, the message is clear: if you were born in 1977, this is your year. Let’s make sure no one from the Class of ’77 misses out!
