Guardamar to hold breast cancer march on 25 October

Guardamar del Segura will host a breast cancer march on Sunday 25 October, organised by the Asociación Alicante para la Lucha Contra el Cáncer under the slogan “Let’s walk for a shared cause”.

The march is due to start at 10.00 am from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square). The event aims to bring together residents, families and people of all ages for a visible show of support for the fight against breast cancer.

The organisers have said that race numbers and T-shirts can be purchased at the AACC Guardamar headquarters, at 19 Calle San Francisco, ground floor. They can be collected on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

A race number and T-shirt cost €7. A race number for a pet is also available for €1, for those wishing to take part with their animals in a family-friendly community event.

Guardamar del Segura Town Hall is supporting the initiative, which adds to the awareness-raising activities held during October to highlight the importance of social support, prevention and support for those affected and their families.
